我有一台 Amazon Echo，还有一台 Google Home。

其实是两台 Google Home。上个月去美国的时候，看行李箱还有空，顺手又买了第二台 Google Home。

朱老师经常批评我乱买东西，比她买包还勤快。我振振有词，工作需要。做为一名优秀的创业者，我应该对各种各样新的科技产品保持敏锐。

所以，我可以摸着良心和桌子上的 iPhone 7 Plus、Pixel、魅族 Pro 6、Lumia 950、iPad Air 2、Surface Pro 3、Pixel C、MacBook Pro 和 Chromebook Pixel 2 说，我买东西是很节制的。

前几天有本杂志邀请我点评一些「不同类型的产品」，里面有画了蒙娜丽莎的 LV 包包、硅谷流行的某款鞋子、长得很华丽的沙发、福特新款野马之类的... 我想了一整天，都没想出来怎么点评。

可见我确实是非常专注的。

甚至我对硬件其实也不感兴趣。桌子上的手机、平板和电脑是多了点，但仔细观察，每一台都有唯一的操作系统和产品形态组合。我更感兴趣的是软件，尤其是新的人机交互形式。

所以 Amazon Echo 推出的时候，我的心里长出了半棵草。我可以想象它在国内用处不大，但出于对新的人机交互形式的好奇心，我觉得应该买一台。

这叫责任感。

这半棵草苟活了一年，期间我买了一套房子，装修完，搬了进去。有一天坐在新家里又想起了这半棵草，顺手在淘宝搜了一下，发现有北京现货，就买了一台。

顺丰隔天就到了。冲动消费就是要这样，想反悔都没有机会。

于是在 Amazon Echo 推出一年后，我拔了草。

给不熟悉的朋友说明一下，Amazon Echo，是一个内置 Alexa 智能助理的音箱。也就是说，你可以像和 Siri 对话一样和它说话，问它问题，吩咐它做事情。你只要说，「Alexa...」，就可以对它发号司令。

智能助理不是一个新东西。Apple 在 2011 年就推出了 Siri，Google 也在 2012 年推出了 Google Now。和 Alexa 一样，你都可以和它们说话，问它们问题，吩咐它们做事情。它们也都有所谓的「热词唤醒」功能，不用拿起手机，你只要对着它们说，「OK Google」或「Hey Siri」，就可以免提对话。

那么，为什么要买一个音箱，专门用来装一个智能助理呢？

不是技术越先进，竞争优势就越大。比如 Google 原来的自动驾驶部门，专注于直接实现全自动驾驶的汽车，商业化节奏不紧不慢。而 Uber 在自动驾驶技术上尽管不如 Google，却想到了用自动驾驶技术来运营出租车队的路径，说不定可以反超 Google。

设计、商业上的创新，同样是一种跨越式发展的方法。当然，Uber 过于心急以至于玩了很多火，现在可能会不小心烧到自己。这是另外一个故事了。

我不认为 Amazon 拥有比 Apple 或 Google 更先进的智能助理，但我觉得 Amazon 放对了地方。Amazon 是一家很聪明的公司。

Siri 和 Google 的语音助手，我不知道大家一般会用来做什么，我觉得它们最可靠的是讲段子。我以前开车上班，京藏高速上胡思乱想，总有一些绝妙的主意想记下来。我尝试大喊「OK Google, take a note…」，往往要重复四五遍才可以勉强录下来一段语音，后来还是放弃了。

这些绝妙的主意就这样在人类文明的长河中丢失了。

我之前问了几家国内做智能助理的公司，似乎普遍也是以娱乐用途为主。其实人类是一种很懒惰的动物。不管数学多差，每个人在偷懒方面都无比精明。假如说一个指令的成功率是 80% (不是语音识别率)，也就是发出五个指令有一个会失败。我们的大脑在下次想做同样的任务时就会暗暗比较，我是冒失败的风险来试试语音操作呢，还是一开始就使用我知道肯定能搞定的传统方法？

要养成新路径的习惯，我觉得必须具备三个条件：新路径比旧路径要短得多，新路径的成功率足够高，新路径失败后的损失足够小。

买了 Echo 以后，我发现我和 Alexa 说话的频率要比 Google 和 Siri 高很多。

一方面，Alexa 有七个麦克风，家里一般也很安静，我在客厅中的任何一个角落喊厨房中的 Alexa 它都能听见。任何一个角落都可以，非常灵敏，这就比手机可依靠多了。而且 Alexa 听见的时候会给你很明显的反馈，除了音效外，还会有一个灯亮起来指向你的方向。这和呼唤手机它爱理不理的感受是很不一样的。

在自己家里大喊大叫，也要比在公众场合大喊大叫要优雅一些。

另一方面，Alexa 的功能不多，恰恰成为一个优点，你知道它擅长做什么事，成功率也会很高。事实上，这些智能助理都不太智能。但其它智能助理需要每天跟着你在外奔波，而 Alexa 只需要居家就可以，难度会低很多。

拿开车来说，我想吩咐智能助理的事情可能有很多——

微信谁跟我说话了吗？朋友圈有什么新帖？

去皇室战争收一下宝箱。

我几点能到公司？

我十点钟是不是有个会？

告诉文莲，我和她的会要迟到几分钟。

我要再迟到几分钟。

今天应该走哪条路更快？京承还是京藏？

等等。

你在家里会问 Alexa 的问题没有那么多，但它总能满足你的要求。

Alexa，放点音乐。

Alexa，放点钢琴曲。

Alexa，计时三分钟。

这些操作中的大部分并不复杂，但一方面是 Alexa 非常可依靠，另一方面呼叫 Alexa 远比拿手机方便。「拿手机」听起来就是三个字，但我们精明的大脑知道，这包括「回忆手机在哪里」「起身走过去」「拿起手机」「解锁」「找到对应的 App」「打开那个 App」... 的一系列复杂过程。相比之下，喊 Alexa 要方便多了。

在偷懒的欲望下，使用习惯很快就养成了。

我家里的灯光系统没有智能化，否则想象一下，冬天躲在被子里头大喊一声「Alexa，关灯」。这可是解决了困扰人类数个世纪的难题。

Google 的产品经理看着 Echo 的畅销一定很生气——明明技术不如我们，做出这么一个玩具，反而卖得不错。

没办法，这本来就不是一个纯技术的竞争。而是技术、设计和商业的综合竞争。

于是 Google 推出了 Google Home。

Google Home 去年在 Google I/O 发布的时候我正好在现场，当时觉得印象一般，跟随之举。

后来我拿到手以后... 也还是认为是跟随之举。并没有什么新意。

但很快，我呼唤 Google 的次数就超过了 Alexa。

Amazon Echo 是这个领域的开拓者，但功能还是有些问题的。比如，其大部分功能在中国无法使用——不是那种不可描述的问题，而是没有数据。比如，Echo 无法告诉你北京的天气，也不能告诉你按照目前路况上班要多长时间。

Google Home 都可以。

而且，由于我本来就大量使用 Google 的服务，有许多整合就很方便。例如，我家里所有的音箱都接了 Chromecast Audio，所以如果我说，「OK Google, 放王菲的歌」，家里所有的音箱就会同时响起。作为一个搜索引擎公司，有一些奇怪的问题 Google 也会回答得更好，比如有一天我和朱老师睡前在床上探讨一个严肃的问题：

猫到底有没有天敌？

懒得拿起手机，直接问了一句，Google 就直接告诉我们答案了 (没有)。

我买了第二台 Google Home 以后，Google 全面占据了上风，因为我在床头放了一台。这样子就出现了更多我之前没有预料到的用法，比如设置闹钟 (OK Google，六小时后叫我起床？)；早上起来懒得睁眼，直接问几点了 (OK Google，现在几点了？)，顺便在床上听一会儿自己今天的日程和新闻速报 (OK Google, 我今天有什么安排？)

Alexa 和 Google 的功能都在以很快的速度增加。每周，Alexa 和 Google 都会有一封邮件，介绍这周新上线的功能。在我看来，Google 的功能稍微更有吸引力一些。例如，Google 支持通过一个叫 IFTTT 的服务自定义指令，比如我可以说「OK Google 提醒我买牛奶」，然后设置把这个任务添加到我的项目管理软件 Asana 中。

先行者发明了市场，还得守住市场。

回到这些东西值不值得买。如果你喜欢这些新玩具，比如你曾经买过第一代的 iPhone，它是足够成熟、可以买的。

但还有许多对于人类来说理所当然的事情，它们今天做不到。

有些可能是技术的问题，比如，虽然你可以问 Google「北京明天会下雨吗？」「后天呢？」「那广州呢？」，它都能听懂，自然接话。但如果你问它，「UA 889 几点到？」「提醒我」，它就会问，「提醒什么？」

还有一些可能不是技术的问题。比如，Google Home 不能记笔记，但手机上的 Google Assistant 是可以的。比如，我大概有二十多个小米或米家的智能家居产品，不管是 Alexa 还是 Google 还是小米自己的语音助手，都不能控制他们。小米有个叫「小白」的语音助手，整合在了摄像头中却没有整合到音箱中，不知道是顶层战略设计的结果，还是决策分散的结果。

和 VR、小程序等等一样，我相信这是未来的体验，但不会是一夜之间的风口。

有时候你可能会觉得，这不过是一个交互形式的微小变化。但实际上，这塑造着我们的世界观。

有一种说法，今天的小孩已经是「触摸一代」，当他们看到一个平面，都会认为是可以通过触摸来进行交互的。YouTube 有个视频，一个小朋友以为杂志上的图片是可以像 iPad 一样拖拽的，这是一种新的对世界的认知。
