　　IT之家 5 月 7 日消息DigiTimes 从产业链了解到，台积电将使用 6nm 制程工艺重新设计制造新款 PS5 游戏机使用的芯片，新工艺预计会使得晶体管密度提升约 18%，同时能够减少芯片制造成本，从而提高 PS5 的利润率。爆料者表示，代工厂预计将于 2022 年第二至第三季度之间开始生产新款 PS5，得益于芯片效率的提升，新产品的功耗和体积将会更小

　　外媒表示，索尼使用新工艺的原因并不是为了制造性能更强的 PS5 Pro 版，目的仅仅是降低成本。目前 PS5 使用 AMD 设计的 APU 芯片，采用台积电 7nm 工艺制造。由于索尼 PS5 亏本销售，而全球销量达到了 780 万台，因此哪怕降低几美元的成本，未来也会为索尼带来巨大的优势。

　　IT之家获悉，与索尼的策略不同，微软 Xbox Series 系列游戏主机并不会亏本销售。外媒表示，在苹果与 Epic Games 诉讼案的听证会上，微软公司的代表也出席听证会。当被问及微软是否在 Xbox Series X/S 游戏主机上获利时，Lori Wright 表示：“我们不会以低于成本价销售游戏机。”
