近日，知名互联网流媒体Netflix正式提出了收购一家游戏工作室的要约。这家芬兰的游戏工作室名叫Next Games，并曾借助网飞的网剧大IP《怪奇物语》，开发了一款名叫《Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales》的手机游戏。除此之外，Next Games 还开发了两款以影视剧《行尸走肉》为主题的手机游戏，对IP游戏的理解十分深刻。在一篇博文中，NetFlix的游戏副总裁 Mike Verdu 表示，此次收购是为了帮助公司“为会员打造一个精彩的游戏库”。

早在提出收购前，Netflix就想要将游戏纳入其订阅服务。Netflix Games于去年在iOS和Android上推出，Netflix会员可以通过这个App免费下载其中的游戏。尽管游戏库还并不丰富，但游戏中完全没有内购，也没有内置的广告。

“虽然我们的游戏才刚刚起步，但我相信与Next Games一起，我们将能够打造出一系列世界级的游戏……而这也将让我们的会员获得更好的体验。”Netflix游戏副总裁Verdu在博客中写道。

到目前为止，Netflix游戏服务上的许多游戏都是由外部合作伙伴开发的。它的两款基于《怪奇物语》IP的游戏——《StrangerThings: 1984》和《Stranger Things 3: TheGame》——都由德克萨斯州的BonusXP工作室开发。Netflix 还授权将旗下现有游戏《狂野飙车: 极限越野》作为福利，独家提供给订阅用户。但随着去年收购Next Games和Night School Studio，Netflix游戏业布局的重心似乎正从外部转向内部自研。

外网媒体TechCrunch指出，作为世界家喻户晓的流媒体巨头，Netflix鲜少进行收购。据该媒体调查，与Netflix收购相关的公司至今仅仅只有5家。而如今，微软、索尼等巨头都在大举收购游戏工作室，颇有为了自家的游戏订阅服务“跑马圈地”之意。这么看来，Netflix收购Next Games似乎也是被微软、索尼给“卷”了。

Netflix 提出以6500 万欧元（约合 4.57亿人民币）的价格收购Next Games，Next Games的董事会已建议股东接受这一要约。该报价相当于每股 2.1 欧元的现金，路透社指出，这是其昨天收盘价 0.93 欧元的两倍以上。据两家公司预计，交易将在 2022 年第二季度完成。
